Damion Easley had 2 base hits and 3 RBI as the Chicago Rastafarians defeated
the Dyersville Jurassics by a score of 8 to 4 at Minute Maid
Field.
Dyersville fell behind quickly as the Chicago offense came through in the
first inning scoring 3 runners on 3 hits. The key at-bat was by Easley who
made the home-town crowd a happy bunch when he banged out a single plating
two runs. The pitchers took over after the 4th inning as neither team was
able to score again.
Tomo Ohka(6-3) got the win allowing 4 runs in 6 innings. Ohka got help from
Mike Stanton who earned his 2nd save. Jeff Suppan(11-6) was tagged with the
loss. He was hit hard and gave up 8 hits and 4 walks in 3 and 2/3 innings.
